In memory of Ethan Joseph Ross

Move a Marathon for Ethan Charity

Creative in Learning is proud to support the Move a Marathon for Ethan charity #moveamarathonforethan. This is a charity set up in memory of Ethan Ross which aims to raise £20,000 for Air Ambulance and Young Minds, a teenage mental health charity. It’s a charity that is close to us – both in location and in our hearts – as Ethan was only 17 years old when he tragically lost his life following a collision on the A55 near St Asaph, Denbighshire on September 12th 2020. Ethan was flown to Stoke Hospital by Wales Air Ambulance, but devastatingly he passed away two days later.

Ethan wanted his life to have purpose. We were particularly moved by his personal statement for his university application:

“As a young man fascinated with the world around me, I have found myself always drawn to looking up to the sky. I want my life to have purpose and benefit mankind in some way.”

Over the weekend of 18th/20th June 2021, we will be putting a Creative in Learning team to complete a 26.2 mile marathon. Some of us will run, some of us will walk but the main aim to carry on Ethan’s ambition to benefit others and raise money for such worthwhile local charities.

We need your help! We’d like to make a real difference and show our support – you can help by donating to our marathon OR taking part yourself and doing your own.
