FAQs

Can a home schooled student take their exams at Creative in Excellence?

Yes. Our sister company, North Wales Exam Centre in St Asaph and Mold, accepts private candidates. However, if you are looking to also build in daytime tuition to support any exams, we can organise them as an internal candidate.

Is daytime tuition funded?

If your child is still on the school register (but perhaps has a medical need to explain inability to attend), you may be able to go through the local authority referral route where funding may be covered.

However, if your child has already been removed from formal education, tuition will need to be covered personally. Please note, that we will always work with you to find the most cost effective route.

Do you offer tuition to support preparation for exams?

Yes, we would be happy to help support you with tuition in preparation for your exams. Our St Asaph centre is also joint with our tuition company; Creative in Excellence (daytime tuition), and Creative in Learning (evening tuition).

If you’d like to discuss further please contact [email protected] with your name, age, subjects you’d like to be tutored in & the exam board you are sitting your exams under/syllabus you’re following.

Will my child be able to socialise?

We understand the importance of social skills. We offer the option to receive tuition within a small group or on a one to one basis. We encourage the development of social skills through small team work tasks such as outdoor education.

Can you offer tuition at home?

Most of our daytime tuition is in either our St Asaph or Mold dedicated learning centres.

However, we do offer hub outreach classes if there is enough students to participate.

Do you accept Local Authority referrals?

Yes. We work with many local authorites including Flintshire, Denbighshire, Wrexham, Ynys Mon and Conwy.
